Community Practice Day

August 11th (2018)

Date details +

Everyone is warmly invited to join us for a Community Practice Day on Saturday August 11th @ 9:30am. This is a wonderful opportunity for our community to come together and practice and engage in conversation.

As many of you know our community is going through a difficult time and we are opening our eyes to the unhealthy patterns of power in our community and the society at large.  It is a time of deep reflection that can lead to transformation.  In order to begin this process we need to be together as a community, to practice, feel and listen to each other.  This practice day will include sitting and walking meditation, a short talk on “working with emotions” and small group discussions.

Please register online, there is no cost for the program but you are welcome to make a donation if you wish.

Please bring a dish for a pot-luck community gathering at the end of the practice day.

We strongly encourage everyone to attend the full day so that we can create a safe container.  If you are unable to attend for the full day please choose the morning starting at 9:30am or the afternoon starting at 2pm.

If you cannot make this practice day but want to practice in community please join us for the Full Moon Shambhala Sadhana on Saturday July 28th @ 6:30pm or the Sunday Morning Meditation on Sunday August 5th @ 9:30am.  Of course we also have our weekly open houses so please check our program listings.
