White Tara

May 1st—August 7th

Date details +

Join us for a guided White Tara practice session, open to everyone, at 8:15pm on the first Wednesday evening of every month.

White Tara is known in Tibet as “She Who Liberates”—a compassionate bodhisattva and female manifestation of Buddha’s compassionate wisdom, sometimes called the Mother of all Buddhas. This practice session will help us connect to the energy of this swift and heroic bodhisattva who delivers us from fear and protects us from harm.

White Tara represents the motherly aspect of compassion and it is said that her compassion for living beings is stronger than a mother's love for her children.  She embodies the environmental qualities of kindness, protection from harm, and soothing of suffering.  White Tara offers longevity so we may have more time to serve others in this world.

Practice sessions will end by 9pm.

This event is part of our regular Wednesday evening program which includes group sitting from 7pm to 8pm. Meditation instruction is also offered at 7pm.

Everyone welcome for any part or all of this Wednesday evening.
