Shambhala Day - Year of the Iron Ox

February 13th

Date details +
    Room: Online

Shambhala Day - on February 12th - marks the beginning of the new year, and is the most important holiday of the Shambhala mandala.  Based on the traditional Tibetan new year’s celebration of Losar, the day is calculated astrologically according to the Tibetan lunar calendar, and changes every year to coincide with the annual lunar cycles.

There will be an international broadcast on Friday, February 12th at 1pm Eastern time to celebrate the new year. To participate in the international live broadcast you can register at the Shambhala Online website.

In Toronto, we are also hosting a local online Shambhala Day event on Saturday, February 13th, 10am - 12pm Eastern Time. All are welcome! The local event will include a guided group session of The Birthday Sadhana (no prior experience necessary) to welcome a new cycle, local presentations, and the replay of selected excerpts from the international broadcast.

We hope you will join in our community celebration to greet the Year of the Iron Ox!
