This program engages the ordinary magic ways of contemplative arts with the deep insights of meditation. It explores how everyday life can be a path of appreciation and enlightenment.

The program will include meditation and contemplative ways such as "aimless wandering," haiku, and contemplative photography. (No photographic experience necessary and a "point and shoot" camera or a good phone camera is workable). Also no previous meditation experience necessary: there will be meditation instruction.

This public program is wide open for the wide open mind.

John McQuade is a Shambhala Meditation Instructor, a Shambhala Training teacher, and the founder of Nalanda Miksang Photography. He is co-author of two books: Looking and Seeing and Heart of Photography.
